Lobstering is hard demanding work and the boats go out almost every day. In some harbors, the boats are used for lobstes, scallops and sea urchins. These boats wiith the A frame rigging are used for all three.

Moss and Trees

Rooted

Rainy days are wonderful for exploring trails and photographing intimate landscapes. These roots with the moss intertwiined caught my eye. The color of the moss was bright green - this is not enhanced, it was a stunning color.

Morning Light

A touch of light in the clouds shows off the fall colors on the island while the Babara Frost sits quietly on her anchor.

Waiting

Lobsterig is tough - it's demanding and difficult. You can hear the lobster boats heading out around 5 am and they will often stay out all day, in any kind of weather and in every season. This tender is just waiting for it's lobster boat to come home.

Fall Colors at the Cove

Many of the Maine coastal towns have brilliant fall foliage and even with a dull grey sky this scene really pops. The lobster shack, the boat, the great and the colorful trees all combine to make a great scene.

Seaweed and Surf

Small swells just kept coming in from the and banging against these seaweed covered rocks.

Foliage along the Marsh

The foliage on the Pemiquid Peninsula of Maine was outstanding the fall of 2022. Around every corner was a new scene to photograph! These beautiful trees sat watching the tides come and go along this marshy area.
