Mourning Dove Flying In

The mourning doves kept gathering near out bird feeders hoping enough seed would fall so they could have lunch during the storm.

2 feet of snow fell on December 17 and the birds all came to our feeders and our trees to eat and celebrate! At one point we had 4 morning doves all together.

A wonderful combination of a classic Vermont fence, a maple tree and a red barn with windows - all during a Vermont snowstorm. The hardest part of photographing Vermont in a snowstorm, is finding a place to pullover since most roads are only plowing for 1 lane during the storm.
